MA starts again

MA in Humanities based on the Great Books of the Western World starts on 2 Sep 2024. This MA is at American Public University. I will be entering/reentering the 17th grade.

Reading and Writing here I come! Maybe I will be a Writer after all.

True Education

Gateway to the Great Books (10 Volume Set) GET USED ON EBAY.

and Great Books of the Western World (54 Volume set for 1st Edition or 60 Volume Set for 2nd Edition) GET USED ON EBAY.

and Holy Bible, my favorite is the New American Standard Bible, 1977 Edition.

There is a perfectly good reading plan in the back of Gateway to the Great Books, Volume One:

Part One: Suggested Readings for the 7th and 8th Grades.

Part Two: Suggested Readings for the 9th and 10th Grades.

Part Three: Suggested Readings for the 11th and 12th Grades.

Part Four: Suggested Readings for College Freshman and Sophomores.

Under each of these four parts:

A. Gateway to the Great Books.

B. Great Books of the Western World.

Doctorate (PhD)

I have thought about earning a Doctorate in these subjects:

History

Psychology

Literature

Philosophy

And less so….

Religion/Christianity

Archaeology

Anthropology

Astronomy

Mathematics

Political Science

Sociology

Autodidacticism/Genius/Polymath

On the Wikipedia for Autodidacticism, there is a section labelled: Some notable autodidacts can be broadly grouped in the following interdisciplinary areas:

Artists & Authors

Actors, Musicians, and other artists

Architects

Engineers & Inventors

Scientists, Historians, & Educators

And, I have added (from my own research) Mathematicians, Philosophers, and anything having to do with Computers.

My friend has a website: http://www.autodidact.com/index/html and has written many books on the subject.
